The Canberra Model Railway Expo 2011

From the CMRI web site:
The 2011 Expo will be held the Kaleen High School, Baldwin Drive, Kaleen on Saturday and Sunday 2nd and 3rd of April 2011. This will be the second year in this location.
A map of the location can be found to the right.
A good mix of layouts, trade stands and demonstration stands will provide plenty of scope for both those who are active in the hobby and also the general viewing public. Twenty one operating layouts are coming from all over New South Wales and local ACT Clubs to display the maker’s creative skills and craftsmanship. The layouts will include representations of Japanese, US, British and Australian scenes – all operating, all highly detailed and ranking with the best in the world. 17 specialist model railway trade stands will also be there to assist those interested in purchasing model supplies.
There will be plenty for the kids to see and do –
- There will be a large operating “LEGO” railway layout assembled by a group of local modellers from standard “LEGO” materials.
- And a children’s U-drive model railway where children can drive their own trains
- Plus Grandads trains – lots of colour and lots of action – always a favourite
- ACTMRS's 12th Street HO layout will be there.
The venue is wheelchair accessible
Light refreshments and drinks are available
Action buses from both the City and Belconnen go to the High School.
A fun day out for all the family.
