ACT Model Railway Society Inc is running in conjunction with Malkara Special School P&C Association Inc the 36th Malkara Model Railway & Scale Model Exhibition, which is being held on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August 2008.

This exhibition is held annually and the profits are used to benefit the students of Malkara Special School.

Some of the model railway layouts that are being exhibited this year are:

“Wyburn”

by the Canberra Model Railway Club Inc,

“AusTrak iN Canberra”

by the Canberra-Monaro N Scale Group,

“Palden Hill”

by the Illawarra MRA,

a layout built

by the NMRA AR ACT Division HO Module Group, and

“Little Austria”

by the ACT Model Railway Society.

There are also several private layouts being exhibited. They are:

• “Willigobung”.

• “Eskbank”.
• “Kangaroo Valley”.
• “Blagdon”.

There are also the ever faithful:

“Grand-dad’s Toy Trains”

which is presented by the ACT Vintage Train Collectors Association,

The live steam ride

which is run by the Canberra Society of Model & Experimental Engineers, and

“Bod Ville”

a Lego train layout, favorite with the kids.

The exhibition also have the following commercial sites:

Model Railroad Craftsman,

DCC a specialty as well as many model railway items,

John's Preloved Collection,

see John O'Regan for pre loved model trains,

Pallas Hobbies,

Dave & Tracey stock mainly N scale model railway items,

EFD Simply Glues,

if you are having a gluing talk to Ian,

Runway 13

for spray paint equipment, talk to Peter Shum to get all the info on this, and last but not least

Victorian Dollhouses,

for all those items to build a doll house, look carefully at this stand some items are useful for a model railway layout.
